Nissan delivered EV to TAI for R&D

Mr. Pisit Rangsaritwutikul, President, Thailand Automotive Institute (TAI), attended a ceremony of delivering 2 Nissan Leaf Electric Vehicles (EV) to TAI. In this regard, Mr. Ramesh Narasimhan, President, Nissan Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd., presided over the event under “Supporting EV for research and development towards future vehicle of Thailand project”, which followed guideline and policy of TAI to support EV and parts industry of Thailand in the future. Additionally, Nissan also delivered one of each EV to Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand (EVAT), Kasetsart University (KU) and Thammasat University (TU) for furthering study, research and human resource development in automotive industry.

TAI leaded operators to visit Cherdchai Corporation Co., Ltd. for observing aircraft industry

Thailand Automotive Institute (TAI) leaded 13 operators to participate in activity of “Plant Visiting and Exchanging Knowledge” at Cherdchai Corporation Co., Ltd., Nakhon Ratchasima, which was under the competency enhancement of automotive operator towards aircraft industry project 2020. In this regard, Mr. Surawut Cherdchai, Managing Director, Cherdchai Corporation Co., Ltd., gave a warm welcome and leaded the group to visit plant as well as gave advice to them in order to develop and increase competency of operators in automotive industry, which would support expansion of aircraft industry in the future.

TAI & JETRO had a meeting regarding Japanese car wreck management law.

Mr.Panuwat Triyangkulsri, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry was honorably presided over the meeting regarding Japanese car wreck management law with Mr.Igrashi Atsushi, Vice President of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Bangkok participating with Mr.Thanawat Koomsin, Executive Vice President of Thailand Automotive Institute (TAI), Mr.Dusit Anantarak, Senior Expert, the Office of Industrial Economics (OIE) and Mr.Kriengkrai Techakanont, Specialists, sub-committee for the feasibility study of environmentally friendly car wreck management, Mr. SHIOZAKI Yuji, Director for Automotive International Trade Policy, Manufacturing Industries Bureau, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), representatives from the Department of Primary Industries and Mines (DPIM), Pollution Control Department (PCD), Department of Land Transport (DLT), and Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) which the meeting was held at the meeting room 301, 3rd Floor, TAI Bangkok office.

The 22nd Anniversary of the Founding of TAI

On September 14th, 2020, Mr. Pisit Rangsaritwutikul, President, Thailand Automotive Institute (TAI) leaded management and TAI staffs to make annual merit and worship to Narayana and spirit house along with give food and offerings to monks on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the founding of TAI. Management also had conversation and gave a message of encouragement and blessing to staffs at TAI, Bangpoo office.

ASEAN Automotive Product Working Group Meeting

Mr. Pisit Rangsaritwutikul, President, Thailand Automotive Institute (TAI), as the key representative from Thailand in Automotive Product Working Group (APWG), along with Mrs. Kamonwan Chamlerdwat, Director of Certification Division, Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI), Mr.Chaiyavat Tangkrockolan, Director of International Affairs Division, Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) and representatives from private sector participated “ASEAN Automotive Product Working Group Meeting” through VDO conference together with 10 country members; including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam at Meeting room 410, 4th Floor, Thai Industrial Standards Institute Building.

Mr. Pisit Rangsaritwutikul, President, Thailand Automotive Institute (TAI), was invited from Bangkok Biz Newspaper as one of speakers in this seminar along with representatives from both government and private sectors such as Mr. Chokedee Kaewsang, Deputy Secretary General, the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), Mr. Sekson Sermpong, Deputy Governor (Planning and Power System Development), Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), Mr. Pornsak Udomtraphayakun, Assistant Governor (Planning and Organization Development), Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA), Dr. Kraisorn Anchaleeworaphan, Director, Electrical and Electronic Product Testing Center (PTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) and Mr. Zhang Haibo, President, SAIC Motor-CP Co., Ltd. They shared and presented guideline and direction of future automotive industry development in both short and long terms which will lead Thailand to EV industry center in ASEAN as targeted at InterContinental Bangkok Hotel on August 27th, 2020.
