TAI, Autoliv join forces for ATTRIC to uplift automotive safety
October 3, 2023Bangkok, 3 October 2023: Thailand Automotive Institute (TAI) and Autoliv (Thailand) Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the passive safety system at Conference Room 301, TAI’s Kluaynamthai Office. This MOU will allow both organizations to exchange technical knowledge and develop testing process and automotive safety standards for safety belts, airbags and restraint systems with front/side impacts, leading to higher capacities in testing, research and development as well as laboratory improvement.

Febuary 17, 2021The Next Generation Automotive Research Center, Thailand Automotive Institute (TAI) summarizes Thai automotive industry in 2020; a total production number of motor vehicles were 1,427,27 units and a total number of domestic sales were 792,146 units, while a total export number were 735,842 units. These numbers were decreased from previous year in the same period; 29%, 21% and 30%, respectively. This was effect from COVID-19 pandemic that had caused economic slowdown. Auto sector expected to produce 1.4m cars this year
